My First

... ever... lightning photograph... I suppose it was worth waiting 20 years for...

Before I display it though... I do think I'll get back to writing some more one of these days... My creative juices are flowing and all that... It's just that my pen dried up and I am waiting for payday to come to refill it.

And without further ado....

Boy, there was some power in that one. Good job!

Thanks!!! I'd never have guessed how much there was, by the quick flash that happened... it's amazing what a camera will show you sometimes!

Startling ... I appreciate the use of black-and-white even more since Arkansawyer's photo so well captures for posterity what our colorized vision never sees in real time. Alan G's keen observations remind me to challenge him to post some surely-superb photos on his Life as a Photographer page ... and for me to finally deploy my warped sensibilities onto the blogging world! Keep up the photography ~ I sense a part-time business in the offing.

Know what, though??? This was a full-color shot... Just turned out black-and-white because it was a pitch-black evening... An interesting observation though... I hadn't even noticed that... Very cool.

And post away... I know you've got some good stuff in there just waiting to be read/seen...
