I had a comment on these pictures... since deleted by the poster... but the author noted that Arkansas is very pretty... and indeed, it is.
My part of Arkansas is very like where I live today. The Ouachita National Forest has a ton of hidey-holes where you could get lost and not see another human for days.
But I will clarify that these pictures were taken in my new (of 5 years) "home" of Central Pennsylvania. In many ways, this country is more like my childhood home than any other place that I've ever lived.
