Thanks...

I was attempting to "paste" together several photos for the Armstrong Valley shot yesterday, and i had a lot more light/dark spots, plus definite lines between the photos, etc.

A friend suggested that it was pretty good for done with something like GIMP or Paint.Net (both of which had a part in the original attempt).

But that I really should find some "Panorama" software - he suggested "Panorama Factory" ... which has a free for 30 days offer on the net, but I like 'legal' freeware software, so I kept looking, and found the perfect tool (for my purposes) for free, clear and legal. And I must say, I was very impressed.

"Panorama Perfect Lite" (the pro version costs - free version has a limitation on file sizes - but worked fine for my purposes.

After I worked out the bugs, so to speak - or at least figured out how to use the software, I went home and thought, let me take pictures from my mailbox of the country "out there"... and I probably should have realized that taking pictures "close up" panorama-style doesn't work as well as from a distance, and so the perspective was a bit skewed (it was NOT intentional)... but still, I liked the overall effect, so I decided to post it.

Your photography becomes ever more inspirational and thought-provoking as it relays your passion to not just click the button, but to digitally paint the quiet story and bylines of central PA. arkansawyer is now my homepage so that my workdays will start as everyone's should -- as a microcosm of the bigger, greener and all-too-unnoticed world about us...
